    Ballistics Calculations???

I'd rather go with this guy, Billy Dixon than a long range movie guy.

    Ballistics Calculations???

By the pic you posted of your Deer this year, your method seems to work. Do you lick your thumb to get a wind reading and range it at the same time?

    Ballistics Calculations???

Using a ballistic app, you will get one set of data that is "should hit", then using that data you should actually shoot and see what that data does then refine it til you get your "did hit"data. The markings on the tape is did hit.

    Ballistics Calculations???

    I don't use a ballistic app. I use a piece of tape.

    Eagle's Nest

There is a pair that hangs out where I work. This is along the Salt River bed by 19th Ave. I don't know if you can pick them up on the bank or not.

    Lion in Tucson

The question of the day is if you ran into a lion in your back yard, would you try to clean up your underwear or just throw them away after it was over?

    Mixing Powders

You are correct about getting slightly better accuracy from handloads, at least that has been my experience with the Hornady 143 ELD-X in a 6.5 Creedmoor, with my gun anyway. It depends on what you want to do with it also, if you need the most accuracy go with handloads, for something like silhouette, it wouldn't really matter.

    Mixing Powders

There are quite a few bench rest shooters that mix powders, but nobody else that I know of.

This is where it started for me, it's a Daisy! I shot this so much that whatever spring or seal that was inside was completely worn out, when it was fired the BB would be lucky to go 4 feet out the barrel. I went through quite a few tubes of those BB's, but I remember them coming in like a pint milk container also.
  12. DNZ makes decent rings that fit a Tikka.

    Custom Gunstocks

I think your chances of finding any Al Biesen types are pretty slim.

    Tell me about this gun

Could be a Model 96, which originally had about a 29 inch barrel, or a Model 38, which had a shorter barrel, if memory serves right. Yours was defiantly drilled and tapped for a scope. When the rifle was made, scopes were not common. You will find if that is and original barrel that it has a really long throat in the chamber, they were chambered for about a 160gr bullet. Another point that I was told and it made sense to me that the model 96 with the long barrel was issued by the infantry to attach a bayonet to, to go against Calvary troops, at that time many country's still had Calvary units.

Obscure Places With Great Taxidermy in AZ

There used to be some good heads at Jensens Custom Ammo, which is now The Second Amendment in Tucson. Don't know if they are there anymore or not.

Lots of lessons in this article!

When I was getting close to my discharge date when I was in the Army, I was pulling CQ. The company phone rang about 2:00 AM and this gal wanted to know if the Government still paid a 25.00 bounty for turning in deserters. I told her that I had no idea and she would have to call the Provost Marshall's office. She said that her brother was more than thirty days AWOL and she wanted to turn him in for the 25.00.
