I work for Pima County NRPR and trust me don't trust what you hear for an opening date. The department drags their feet so slow on everything it makes molasses look fast. Right now the county department is in a spending freeze until the fiscal year ( July). There are still some minor things needing to be done out there (maybe a weeks worth of work) but we keep getting pulled off to go babysit Huckleberry's pet projects. Figure for late summer early fall for it opening judging by the way things are going in the county right now.

Deason I didn't have to hire anyone. The Cho187 wanted to shoot with me and the Coon Leroy so I told him he could. I'm sure it had nothing to do with our capability to shoot fish but more so to do with how good looking we are. -

Gonehuntin I know how to fix your problem. Grab a beer and go to your boat and slap some duct tape, JB Weld, and some bailing wire on something and I'm sure it will be fixed! -

Anyone have any recommendations on a good HD video camera that is a decent price as well? I'm not looking to cheap out but don't want to break the bank either. Seeing as that I never draw tags and everyone around me (friends and family) always do I figure this is the next best anternative to shooting something some way or another. I've got 4 family members with elk tags this year. 3 early archery bull tags in 5BN and 1 early rifle 5BN cow tag. I know the unit like the back of my hand and want to get some good elk footage. Maybe even a few elk harvested on camera. Like I stated early I'm not looking to cheap out but dont want to spend 2000$... If any of you guys have a good starting point or recommendation in HD video cameras for me to look at that would be much appreciated! I'm looking to spend anywhere from $500-$1300 depending on features and the basic bang for the buck. Thanks again!

You guys are in some prime bowfishing country. Usually slay big buffalo in there a few times a year. Awesome fishing day for you guys!

Anyone on CWT shoot a 6 Creedmoor??
CWpredator replied to goatsie's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I've got a 6mm Rem and and 6.5 creedmore. Guess you fall dead In between my areas of reloading knowledge -
Yeah if someone has 500-600lbs the will be sitten real purdy. Especially since I already have 547.69lbs of carp sitten in my freezer with with only 28 fish. I used crimson red krylon spray paint on the gills to keep them lookin fresh for the SHOOT THE COON.

Yeah I'm excited for round two of the "shoot the coon" tournament. They will all be easy to spot on elevated decks on boats with lights running.... See ya there!

We will be there for round two!

Custom build. What caliber would you go with?
CWpredator replied to briant_az's topic in Long Range Shooting
I used Seekins precision high rings. What finish did you use on your barrel? the barrel is black cerakote and all the all the stainless parts were bead blasted for the mat-stainless finish. -

Here's a picture of the custom 338 lapua build I just had finished. Makes my buddy look small holding it. Love this caliber for the long range shots. It would definitely be a hard one to beat. -

What action did you end you using? I'm using a Stiller TAC338 action, Krieger #10MTU barrel, American precision arms muzzle brake, Mcmillian A5 stock, Seekins extended box magazine, Jewell trigger, Seekins rings, stiller 20MOA base, and nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 NPR1 scope. -

I've got a full custom .338 lapua being built right now. Should be done and picking it up tomorrow. Thats another one that is the baddest of the bad for a custom rig but it will destroy your wallet. Ill post pictures if I pick it up tomorrow -

Another great one for a custom rig that is extremely accurate and will reach out and touch something is the 6XC. David Tubb knew what he was doing when he developed it. Really reasonable to load for and an all around bad a$$ shooter! -
That's one bad varmint rifle right there. I used to have one and man did it do a number on a lot of prairie dogs and yotes! Good luck on the sale!
