I would have to disagree that the archery hunters have messed up the elks summer patterns... That might be the case to some small extent but what has messed up the elks patterns you found in the summer would be the rut kicking in. Bulls don't stay in the same area all the time and now that they are looking for hot cows they could move miles and miles. Good luck but don't be locked down on one area. Keep mobile and keep looking.

Get off your high horse... Missing and wounding animals does happen and is part of hunting. theres a lot of factors out of a hunters control and some times s*it just hits the fan and doesn't work out the way intended. Get off your computer and go hunt. Stop worrying, complaining, and crying about what others are doing and worry about yourself...

Only scent products I use is scent killer spray... It honestly works. I backpack hunt a lot and wait till you've been in the back country for 3-5 days. You start smelling like sh*t... The spray kills body oder plain and simple. Just spray the inside of you old stinky boots as a test. Few sprays inside and they smell scent free and brand new. It's cheap and easy just spray down yourself and hunt. All the scent free clothing and systems are gimmicks... I've had many animals down wind and don't blow out. That or pick up smoking cigarettes... Seems like every person I know that smokes the animals never mind being down wind or close to them.

is this the kind of palmation you're looking for? One of my good friend has this set and 2 or 3 other sets with some similar palmation to them. Palmation is like anything else non typical. You don't see it to often but they are out there.

I Had an awesome day hunting! I was fortunate enough to get a shot on this fantastic desert mule deer today and the arrow found its mark. As a bonus to the whole thing my best buddy Deason Brooks got to watch the whole show go down. I also had a little history with this buck as I missed him in January of 2013. We turned him back up last weekend and had a close encounter with him last Friday at 20 yards but couldn't pull off the shot. This time he was not so lucky! Deer for 2015 is in the books. He scores 176 5/8ths
