  1. I need to take an out-of-towner on a quick snow view/play trip tomorrow. I know the high country got anywhere from a dusting to a few inches over the past 12-24 hours, so thinking the timing should be good. That being said, I live in south Scottsdale/Old Town area, so a quick run up to Payson/Forest Lakes/Rim/Strawberry would be MUCH easier and preferred over the run up I-17 to Flagstaff. Can anyone provide a quick report on the rim around Payson? Enough there for viewing and a little play? Don't even need enough to sled. Just horse around a little..... Info greatly appreciated!!! S. PS: For the record, I would MUCH prefer to head to the desert and chaise Gambels, but oh well.....
