.31 cal that still capped & loaded with at least one chambered fired. Matching S.N. 327593 the brass is in perfect shape still and serial numbers are legible. 

found near a gold mine in Colorado.

My uncle had an old 1858 Remington frame on his office wall for years. Led to me buying one when I was 13 when I convinced my parents somehow black powder was a good habit to start

That's pretty cool. 

My grandad found a Colt Dragoon in southern N.Mexico that had spent and loaded cylinders.

No metal detector, I found it from a real old timer that said his uncle found just outside Leadville Colorado
