flagstaff overnight rv parking

Recommended Posts

I will be up in flagstaff in a couple weeks for 2 nights.  Is there forest land or anything really close that accomodates 5th wheels that is easily accessible?   not going to be camping, just sleeping in my trailer while we do day activites in town.  have spent very little time in flag other than passing through

note that there is a camping closure all around the town limits, so you have to be out of town a ways to use any FS land. Up past the Cinders is good.

PM me when you're ready.  I can get you to spots outside the restrictions, in the pines, and not far from town at all.

Yeah, Flagstaff has quite a bit of nearby forest land that’s RV-friendly. Check out areas just outside town like Forth Tuthill or parts of Coconino National Forest—lots of spots allow dispersed camping and are trailer-accessible, especially along Forest Roads 222 and 171. Some of those areas are super close to town, maybe 10–15 minutes out, and pretty easy to get into with a 5th wheel. Just keep an eye on road conditions depending on weather—they can get rough if it rains.

If you can get a reservation at Ft. Tuthill, it's a decent place 5 minutes from the SW part of town.
