Barnesboy Report post Posted 16 hours ago Good evening everyone, Am in 5A right now trying to help my 57 year old neighbor fill his bull tag. We’ve been here since opening day and yesterday finally found some elk but one group was all cows and the other group had 2 bulls and they were 1300 yards away and not stopping. He isn’t real picky just looking to fill the freezer. We’ve done a lil hiking but can’t go far cause he has bad knees and hips. We’ve hunted around Blue Ridge and seen nothing but people opening day and then went down lower and that’s where we saw the elk. Went back today to try and get back on them and there was more hunters down there driving around then the day before.
