NOTAGS Report post Posted Sunday at 05:19 AM I’m assuming if you commented on Sea Shepard regarding totoabas( are they still a round after the whale wars and now in RP?)that they’re no bueno for keeping..? First white we landed on my boat, I was digging out the regs from an old Cholla Bay Derby pamphlet to make sure of what we had. Mexican fisheries guy can show up at weird and random times.., there’s a minimum size limit on rock bass, if you can believe that? Half of my bait fish are illegos……

NOTAGS Report post Posted Sunday at 10:20 PM Not for me. I seem to remember my dad telling of him and his buddies catching one, and that it was filleted at sea and never seen shore side. Heck, I’m not sure I’ve personally landed a white yet, maybe one? … everyone else in my boat seems to have tho. I’m usually dropping 1-2 lb bass for grouper while the other guys are dealing with the greenbacks and sea lions. I hooked a bull once, clotheslinedthe boat, broke off both antennae’s.. about cut one guys legs off before I could cut the line….that was enough.

We caught 1 off the rocks last year in June Rocky point. 1 in lobos. my buddies hammered them last year 40 miles, and also in Gonzaga. Maybe sea shepherd is making a difference.
