Knives are hand forged with 3/16 1095 high carbon steel and tempered to a hardness between 56-59 so they will stay sharp for long time and keep a keen edge with a light stropping. I made a 6 for myself to use, it just reminds me of the pointy blade on a old case trapper knife.
