maximus Report post Posted March 19 question for the guys that live in flagstaff, i'm planning to go hiking the bear jaw- abineau canyon loop after easter, is there a lot of snow on the north side of the peaks? last time i did that was in june and was lots of snow. IA Born Report post Posted March 20 Its disappearing quickly. I haven't been over on the north side, but my son giving me the Snowbowl ski report says its not great right now. You may very well run into patches, but I'd honestly be surprised if its a significant amount on that trail loop. 100Shots Report post Posted March 23 You’ll probably still run into snow up there, especially on the north side. That area holds it pretty late. After Easter it might be hit or miss depending on the year, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s still patches or even decent coverage in the shade. I’d plan for it just in case. Thank you last time i was there was in june a couple of years ago and there was quite a bit of snow when you go across to the saddle that connects with the waterline road but maybe with this hot weather will melt a little quicker. HuntHarder Report post Posted March 24 Fox 10 had a good shot of the peaks from the east this am. It looks like they lost a decent amount of snow in just a week from when I drove thru. I'd plan for some snow on the north slope up by Waterline, but I'd really be surprised if there is anything too crazy. The east and south facing slopes look completely dry except for the very top.
