Did I read that correctly?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking at getting started reloading .38 super auto. Looked in the reloading manual and it said that it uses the same diameter projectile as the 9mm. Is that correct? If so, will make reloading easier.

PS any tricks to it, or issues to watch out for?

It may, or may not be exact size. A .38 super is actually.001 - .002(approx) larger than 9mm. I would ask the manufacturer. Don't know if that small amount would cause headspace or accuracy problems.

The 38 Super, the 9mm and the 380 all use the same bullet diameter. I owned all three pistols at one time and used one reloading die for all three. The 38 Super was my race gun, 9mm defense and 380 was my first venture/purchase into handgunning. At this time, only the 9mm remains.
