Going to the Rim and doing a "Clark Griswold" (movie:VACATION) , just doesn't cut it .... So much history at Phantom and the haunts of the Colorado River.... Thank you for taking us along.... December must beat the sweltering summer temps! I bet you've done it , but Havasupai is a must for any Arizona dweller. I've returned 4 times to the people of the blue/green water. I worked for the lodges one summer back in 85 and to hike it 3 times, 2 free airplane rides, free tour bus ride, and a free helicopter ride. It was great. But after being there 3 months, I couldn't wait to get the heck out of there. The last two weeks were agony and couldn't wait to get back to NAU. It was a lifetime experience.
