Reloading Bench Advice and pics

Recommended Posts

I am probably about to move into a new house and will be setting up my reloading station again. This time I want to do it right and make it nice. Last time it was just thrown together and hasn't been all that useful or great to work at. I will probably have about 4-5 feet of my 12' long workbench dedicated to reloading along with the wall behind it.

Thoughts on shelving and layout would be appreciated. Pics would be awesome.

Thanks

Harley

I don't have any pictures but I just moved and decided to build my own desk for my office. I used to reload in the garage at a work bench but this time it will be my desk. I built the base out of 4x4 lumber and bought a 80X32 solid core passthrough door for the top. It literally weighs about 100 lbs and will easily hold up to my press. Plus I was over a Lance's place a couple months ago and stole the idea of getting gym lockers for my office. So now I have lockers for all my hunting and reloading equipment so it is nice and out of the way. I am looking forward to reloading again in the summer without losing about 5 lbs.

I built myself an 8 ft by 5 1/2 ft enclosure in the garage that is air conditioned. The bench in the photos is 5 ft long. I can keep all my reloading equipment, cleaning gear and gun smithing tools in it.

I refurbished some old kitchen cabinets and solid wood doors from an old school to build my reloading benches. Rock solid and Lots of storage. Adding (2) 13 sear ductless mini splits a few years ago was hand down the best investment in equipment to date.
