Although the books, videos and Taxidermy.net gave me some insight and knowledge, the hands on training can't be beat. Even though the school is expensive, the learning curve is more than cut in half. All though I went through the school in 2014, Dale has always been there for advice and to critique my work. Unless you have a great relationship with a local taxidermist, the chance of you getting free training from them will probably be slim to none. If you don't want to fork out the money to go to a taxidermy school, join the AZ Taxidermists Association and attend the seminars.
