CatfishKev Report post Posted December 14, 2019 Just an update on grandma's hunt... First nite out got on a good buck. I'm my haste to screw on the silencer I think it was just spinning and started to crossthread and stopped. Lesson learned, I should have already had everything set up and ready to go. When she was finally able to get a shot the silencer blew off the end of the rifle, the bullet caught the internals and ripped it right off. A great first buck just walked off non chalantly. She put in some serious hiking and work though I was proud of her. We another chance the last morning, about to pack it in I glassed up a spike. Got as close as we could and she had problems finding things in the scope, her eyes are pretty bad and her eye glass scrip needs updated. Basically after 3 misses he was gone and working away from us. I told her we were done for the year and will give it heck next year. I'm still proud of her for the effort she put in though.
