Just how much do you trust your bank/financial institution?

For most people, you will never have an issue. When it happens to you however, it will likely change your opinion. It's obvious who you trust bone, good for you. As far as no paper apps next year, unless you are the one making that decision you don't know when or if it will happen.

el diablo, since when does the G&F start charging cards the day after the cut-off deadline, or even told us accurately when they will actually start the draw?

They have been charging the following morning for a while now. It has happened with every draw cycle since the summer deer cycle in 2016. I believe that makes it 5 cycles that it has been done this way without a hitch. This should be the 6th.
What ross said. Has been that way for a while now. This year deadline is 3/1 and charges should start 3/2. Not to mention the draw is already done once they start charging.

The problem I foresee is G&F just sent out an email changing the deadline to update to 3/1 from the original 3/15 thats posted in the regs. Thats not going to go over well with those that didnt know of the change and card gets rejected.

Rossi, you are right on last year's elk draw... I stand corrected on what I thought. Last year the regs stated 3/16 at 11:59PM for the cutoff on changing cards and hits started morning of the 17th. In 2016 for elk, regs stated March 17 at 11:59PM and hits started two weeks later on April 1st. BTW, I did not look up the other draw cycles since elk of '16.

Assuming there are no issues with their "consultants", that would put this year's stress day for many on Friday, March 16th, or the 2nd... if that's the date. If there are "issues" this year however, a lot can happen in 2 weeks.

What's worse is my bishop last month asked when I was going to start paying tithing online

My only draw mistake was transposing numbers on a paper application, which drew me a 36B tag which I knew nothing about, which led me to google, which led me to CWT and the rest is history.

Good luck on the draw and may your CC get rejected!!! The system is always working perfect when I get a tag!!!

I was thinking about this last night. At the end of the online application there is an acknowledgment box that you must check to proceed. A part of that acknowledgement statement is that the CC update deadline is 3/1/17. AZGFD covered themselves by adding this there and requiring that everyone who applies online checks this off. The only possible argument might be made by guys who do a paper app and never have to checked that box or received that email. However, since all paper apps have to be paid up front with a check, money order, etc., there is nothing that would need to be updated anyway. They don't use a credit card, so the date of the credit card update deadline has no relevance to them.

I believe you I just didn't notice it. Also not saying they did or didn't. But it seems like they changed their date from the 15th to the 1st after the draw started. That's why they just released the email and announcement yesterday. I'd almost bet the guys that put in the first week or so it was saying the 15th but no way to prove that.
