very good point on the 22lr. i have been trying to get this into my prepper buddies head, i went with the .556 for the same reason, you can carry alot more than other calibers if needed. why have 10 guns and 3000 rnds of ammo if you cant carry it. 22lr over 410 is the servival gun real backwppds guys carry and in the stock you have rambo set up.

first time calling
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
i can see that, the cool thing about it for me is i can make scouting trips and rides a little more fun and its just a bonus, not like it eats up a whole day. i will just be using this style as a suppliment to other trips for added fun. -
myself and edge went out west to some new ground and made 2 stands with my new johnny stewart. stand number 2 at 10 am called in 2 dogs but they came in behind me and edge had to throw rocks at me to let me know so i didnt get a shot but got em in to 70 yards or so. what a blast calling is.

so true, poloticians do what ever they are told by the closest advisor. i.e. cornflakes are bad then they say cornflakes are bad, i.e. meat is bad then oh studies say meat is bad, i.e. but at least they ignored the mob on the gun control. ar 15 for 800 bucks again instead of 3000

both mine are liberty made, both are 800 empty and lag bolted. both have motion sensors and recorded video on them. both have dogs sleeping next to them almost always, only 1 thing i need now is an outbuilding for powder, dont like having it in the house and found out recently that keeping it in the safe is bad idea so moved it to a wooden trunk in the closet. i have backed up video of all my belongings and their serial numbers where aplicable. ins company will hate me if anything happens. lol

funny it seems like the combo lock safes are more money now and not alot of them out there, i too was not wanting the electronic but came across such a good deal i bought one anyway, i have had no issues and its made by liberty. if it burned you would have to get a safe company to get someone to open it but at least your stuff would be safe. you fire rating option is going to put your option way up in the price fyi. 1 hr is expensive. non electronic is expansive as well. try looking on costco.com they have some good options and reasonable prices, not sure on the list you have. you wont be sorry buying one, feels like a weight off my shoulders having them. ended up with 2 so i can keep a computer hard drive in one and paperwork and pictures form way back in my family hist. my brother inlaws house burned and they lost everything, only thing that hurt them bad was they now have no pictures of family, we all pitched in and found some of ours for the but they still are missing man family members. i also have my bows in one safe since i used to hang my bow on the wall but they are worth more than some of my guns, lol

Well another great hunt with youth hunters, we didnt manage to put any meat in the freezer this year but still found a herd and the kids had a great time. This year we had alot of hunters in the area and they pushed the herds off their normal routine, I had them pegged before the hunt but nothing but old sign and glassing proved fruitless. We found one herd with 5 animals in really thick cover so decided to let them grow for next year. My 16 yr old driving us to hunt was a first and I am very proud. Lots of rap on the radio when you hunt with the kids. 3 youths head in 3 youths headed out still all smiles 5 in cat pad on a small seep, I will be putting camera in this area and setting up a caller soon

best wishes and that is too funny though, i am the same way, before i am heading on a big trip for anything i go all howard hughes and spray germ killer and over wash my hands and stand 8 feet from all people so i dont get sick before the trip. same deal when i get hurt i first think of how it will effect riding and hunting. -
cant wait, i have 3 different elk draws i am waiting on, one for me, one for my 2 daughters, i for my dad and son. if we all draw i will have to take 6 months off work. lol hey by the way anyone ever try to use their card for 2 different elk apps? the system wouldnt let me use the same card? it said i couldnt use my card because it was already in the system on another app? why would they care how much i want to spend. they should be happy if i want to do 6 elk apps for my family and spend 3 grand

MULEPACKHUNTER replied to AxisWorks LLC's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
do you guys worry about postings like this with so many bad guys out there? i was going to take some photos but i feel nervous about posting my personal items like that? guess i am paranoid like that, i have been robbed before and it sucks, guess thats why i have dogs , recording cameras, monitored alarm, and one of those dummies thats stands in the window stareing out. lol
