Found all these items on my gold claim east of Crown King. A friend of mine whom belongs to the areas Yavapai Tribe thinks this spot was used as a rites of spring gathering place. Be careful if you venture there. According to legend, area is guarded by spirit dogs and unreformed Bumble creatures.

About 10 years ago a buddy asked me to help liquidate his dad's farm after he'd passed on. After hauling trailers to tractors back to the valley, my friend and I made another trip down to the farm to pickup any remaining scrap and dispose of it so the place could go on the market. One item in the barn caught my eye and I asked to keep it. Was an old rolling tool box. Ended up in my shop holding my welding and cutting tools. While moving it in the shop yesterday I decided it's time to do some research on it. Decal is pretty much toast but could make out the maker and date of manufacture... Remline made in 1951. Restore it or just use and appreciate it?

I bought a pair of what appeared to be, newer jump boots at Goodwill. About halfway into a hike I realized something was wrong. Both soles were coming off. Like CJ, my pack is a virtual mobile hardware store. Some Gorilla tape and a beeline trek back to the truck. So proud I had a fix I hardly noticed the looks of contempt I got at the trailhead.

Latest forecast says 100% chance of rain in the valley tomorrow. Don't see that prediction often. 8-12" of snow in the high country. Fast systems mean damaging winds possible. Will this help kick off the Muley rut?
