    Need 120-130 gr 7mm Bullets

120 ballistic tips at 3080 fps in 7mm08 puts elk on the ground, behind the shoulder will pass through or in the shoulder is fine, it's killed coues and mulies. I use it over barnes 120s or 140s. Shoots 1 inch groups at 200yds off my tailgate 'bench'. I'm on an antelope hunt right now, 1uglydude or I should be able to get you some bullets. I can reimburse him some of mine if he needs it. Kent
  2. Horse... no range finders, any distance, any body position, any angle, obstructions. Furthest from the bull gets a letter, closest choses next shot. Kent

    Press, Powder and Bullets

The powder looks like they have Pistol Parlor price tags and the price indicates late 90s, possibly early 2000s. There is usually a date code on the label but I've had some Hodgdon bottles without any. Heck of a deal. I'd buy it but have to much H4350 as is. Kent

    Wife is gone.

Sorry for your loss. Brother and I have a 5th wheel in the Lazy Jr, Linda just sold it but will still be there a year helping the new owners. We fish through the summer, took the grandson on tuesday, it was a scorcher but he caught plenty of largemouth in the evening. Kent

    Powder N565, Bluedot, others

I wish that's what I could sell it for. Just got it yesterday from Powder Valley, I had quit buying stuff when I saw it just to pass on, the prices have gotten to much and PV now charges tax like the others. PV is still the cheapest but not by much now. Brownells has alliant powders but a 2lb limit, last week I bought 4 lbs of different shotgun powders I wanted plus the 2lbs of bullseye to bring the haz price down per pound, was 303 and some change, over 50 bucks a lb for shotgun powder, reloader 16 was just over 60 bucks all said and done. I got some reloader 15.5 a couple weeks ago from PV for 57 bucks a pound buying the max 4 lbs. Anyway I was looking through PV and they were adding VV powders to their in stock so I kept refreshing and N565, 560 and 570 showed up, I didn't need any but I know people want the 565 like H1000 and retumbo. I was logged in so put it in cart to see how much... 398.20... I wasn't going to buy it and knew I only had a few seconds before some gunbroker gouger in New Jersey was going to get it. You know that feeling when you have a smaller buck in your crosshairs and he's eating around, you're not going to shoot him, just looking at him, he's safe... and then he's leaving and the predator in you suddenly takes over and pulls the trigger... That's what happened... Kent

I have to say, I dropped my phone on the boat launch at Roosevelt and either I or someone else ran it over destroying the screen, I had went back and found it when I realized i didn't have it in the truck, but the screen was smashed. I lost all my contacts and texts, so if you have my number and we had text streams, text me with your name so I know who you are. Kent

    Fs Marlin 1894 357

If it has the cross bolt safety or delete it's 1983 or newer. Can't really tell in your picture. If it's a 1894S the S stands for safety. Kent Also I had to go back and look to make sure... date from serial number after 1972... minus the first 2 numbers from 100 for the year, example serial # 16xxxxxx... 100 minus 16 would be '84.

    Non-designer Merino Wool base layer

Go to goodwill/thrift stores, look in the long sleeve shirt section, may not have any everytime you look but after a year you will have a bag full of merino wool pullovers. I don't like the V neck ones, a couple are turtlenecks which are nice for really cold weather. I started with smartwool and such, but why pay that when you can accumulate plenty at 5 to 10 bucks a pop. Kent

I'll add I don't order the mega burger anywhere as I can't really eat that much anymore. Kent

    What's your favorite Burger Joint?

Best at a restaurant... Harbor house, Sunset beach Ca, I like just a regular cheeseburger, wife liked their Hawaiian burger with a slice of pinapple, covid reduced their menu to the bare minimum and the Hawaiian disappeared, maybe it'll come back. We go over to Huntington beach twice a year to visit her sister's family, always eat at Harbor house. Huge portions and cheap. In Phoenix, Art's, on Van Buren, looks like a dive right in the middle of the homeless, food is killer. It also took a hit during covid, burger wasn't quite as good as usual last time I went. breakfast/lunch only place. In AJ, Hackers, also breakfast lunch only, great food and burgers. Kent

    Powder

Prices are well up from earlier in the year. I thought about buying some just to pass on here, but the end price just to break even is to much to put my name to. I did buy 6lbs of RL16, Blue dot and bullseye... end price was 51.50 per lb after haz, shipping, tax... brownells, they probably still have some. Kent

    Hypothetical draw question

Problem is regulation wording isn't subject to opinion, even the G&F's. And I know from experience G&F doesn't always understand the consequences of proposals they put out. Kent

    Hypothetical draw question

As far as someone holding two elk tags, one from the draw and one from the leftovers, that's an interesting thought. Don't know if anyone has tried it or done it... but... You can have multiple javalina tags, only one from the general draw the other/s from the leftover, can't be the same hunt number. Harvest limit is two javalina a year but I don't see anything limiting you to only two separate tags. I've gone down after the leftover draw week and purchased two tags, maybe I could have bought five. I doubt there's enough leftovers to get excited about it anymore. Kent

    Hypothetical draw question

Maybe, nothing in the wording of the 'requirements' say they can't. Kent
