Hey All, I would like to share a positive experience with a hunting company. I had purchased my son a "Timberhawk Gutbuster" Backpack, to be honest I got it at a good price so I bought it for him, the pack itself is nice and has some nice features (that I wish my Eblerlestock had).... He used it for two seasons and the zippers are snagging and do not function. I called today to send it back as they have a lifetime warranty, and the gentleman said they'd be happy to send out a new pack once they receive his back... guy was professional and nice. To say the least I am shocked it was that easy.

Ah Pasadena. The forbidden land to The Nogales North Kitties and all of their woeful fans. Here are a couple of observations: 1) those red uniforms the kitties were sporting were terrible. 2) already heard one "wait 'til next year" 3) already heard one "wait 'til RichRod gets his recruits in place" (FYI - RichRod was lucky to have Scott and Carey fall into his lap. Without them the kitties would have been lucky to win 2 games this year) 4) heard lots of blame towards Scott. Still waiting for: 1) "wait 'til basketball season because basketball is the kitties sport" 2) the kitties choked being up 10 in the 4th, giving up 24 in the 4th and losing the game 3) the SUNDEVIL defense stepped up and forced a bunch of turnovers and dominated the 4th quarter 4) Still enjoying the National Championship in Baseball

That was simply spectacular, Travis made a great shot. Thank you for helping Travis and posting the video.

I have used them, did not notice the entrance and exit holes as you did. I shot a Javi last year and it performed very well, pig flopped in sight....it was a good shot. I have been a long time user of WacEm's...but they are getting harder and harder to find, when I shoot all that I have I will probably start using the Bloodrunner.... but that will probably change a dozen times...LOL Maybe shoot a orange or watermelon and see if it opens.

I enjoy his show, but he filed a coues hunt already wonder if it will be a new episode.

very sad day, however the republicans had an opportunity and failed. not just in capturing the presidency but also in the senate... stupid comments like a womens's body can reject having a baby in certain cases of rape...really damaged the view of republications s I am sick with ALMOST EVERY politician...all they worry about is getting re-elected and not doing anything for the good of the country. the debt will have to be corrected or we may not have to worry about next time
-
funny i remember my dad saying similar things when Clinton was elected....
-
it time to face it, the demographics in American have changed, the Republicans got their asses handed to them and have failed to keep up with the changes and the entitlement first thinking.... the path to 270 for Romney is blocked he needs basically all swing states that are remaining.

I hope your correct...

don't kid yourself anymore...the networks want you to continue to watch.... Ohio is Obama's and the election is over.

4 seasons...look at 33, it has 9 seasons now (4 general, 2 youth, a muzzle loader, 2 archery)... pretty much from mid oct to end of jan the deer are chased
-
I agree 100% NM deer herd is no better than ours...

My thought is mandatory reporting first. We have no idea the number of spikes that are killed on a hunt... we assume but we don't know.... or even for that matter HOW many deer are killed with the current reporting requirements. Antler restrictions and harvest objectives would be hard to manage. If the spikes were not killed, would harvest objectives be met? The G&F then would (may) have to issue more tags to accomplish harvest objectives. I hunted in 30B some 8-9 years ago. A member of the site killed a spike and I witnessed (great time), surprisingly the G&F officer checked the deer and found it to be 4 years old, these antlers were 2-3 inches long... now I am no biologist but how many spikes running around ARE older than 2 years? Not all spike developed fork horns.... Now I may be in favor of restrictions in a few units, if fewer tags in the early hunts were offered with more tags in the late hunts being offered.. then the harvest objective would be met with fewer hunters....boy that sounds familiar to a system that USED to be in place.

I can almost bet I've have a 3x3 hanging on the wall that is smaller than most for 2 pts or forks...I have glassed plenty of 3 pts that were 2 year old deer, also this weekend in NM I found a 2 x 0 that was legal even with an antler restriction... I did not shoot it. There are plenty of big bucks in EVERY unit... just go find them, don't restrict me from hunting in any unit because you want more alleged larger bucks.
-
Sorry that is not the definition of a legal buck in NM....forked horn antler is all that is needed...NO eye guard. That rule was changed years ago.
-
Well recently a 2x2 was posted on this forum that scored 109...and I would LOVE TO SHOOT!! I guess that thing would have to die of old age under a 3 pt rule... Plus there is no guarantee that a 2pt or spike will EVER develop into a 3pt... those deer would breed with the does and their genetics would pass along. Spike and forks have ALWAYS been slaughtered on the first hunts...

Well based on your reply.... I will scrutinize you... why do you feel the need to point out another members views (CNS) on a totally different topic and then speak for him? That's bush league man... Redman ... I am not speaking for him " If it is legal it is also ethical" are his own words as it pertains to Ethics and hunting (this type of thought can not be exclusive) . This does not constitute a grey area and if truly believed does not allow for one to think the opposite when he or she chooses. I brought up the comment because the key point of the OP was on ethical killing and it seems to be that many( not all) individuals here believe the same way as this highly looked up to member of the site, and they only seem to associate ethics with legality versus the moral practices and beliefs of the majority of people around them. "I am sure, C-n-S thinks completely the same way about the banks and mortgage companies, and that they were being ethical when they screwed Americans" that is speaking for him Str8Shot....

Kenton Industries Turrets
Redman replied to couescrazy31's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I have used one in the past and it worked great, then I changed the load and scope... now its worthless.... I am not going to spend another $150 on a new one... just count clicks... I also made my own. Cut a small white paper in a circle and tapped it to the cap. counted clicks to 400 (wrote a 4 on the paper) then a large dot for every 25 yds until 5 (then wrote another 5)..then more large dots until 6 etc. My scope is zero'd at 300... I will count the clicks if I have time, but in a rush I could use the "redman industries" knob LOL
