    Baiting Javelina

Great! Thanks guys. I'll certainly send email to the commision for the vote Friday BowHunter4Life. and TJHunt2 I've never baited anything but where I'm hunting is a very small pocket and it's surounded by areas I can't hunt and fenced so I thought I'd try something to keep them coming into my legal kill zone. I may not even try baiting just wanted the facts. Thanks again all!

  8. Hi all! I'm planning to take my soon to be fiance(sshhh <3) for her 1st dove hunt. She'll be along just to learn what I'm so passionate about until I get her through hunter safety course & weapons training. I'd like to take her to a place we can sit & shoot @ fly overs/ fly bys. I usually hunt Lake Pleasant area but you gotta jump'em or go after quail. Unfortunately she's gotta bum ankle so a good set spot is what we need. I live in Phx so close would be great, but I don't mind traveling a bit to make it a good 1st experience. Any help is always appreciated. Maybe someone with a farm or ranch could be generous enough? I'm also willing to trade for a " Lake Pleasant hookup"wink,wink:-) Thanks & happy hunting!
  9. I need some help with deciding on a good compound broadhead for ducks. Any suggestions.

    Groceries Naturally

Money is tight for most all of us me included. So lately after work I try to pick off a few quail or rabbits. Kinda feels good substance living. Here are a couple pics from yesterday. Love & respect our Mother Nature.

    Nice Lake Pleasant winter Catfish

Slow time of year at work, so I drop a line every now & again. Pulled out a nice catfish today
  16. I see a similar but drab brown version of this duck quite a bit if it's the same species. It's a diver. Smaller than a Grebe with a shorter bill. 1st one Ive seen with this coloration....maybe breeding colors? Any idea of this mystery birds identity?
  17. Way to go Amanda & Grizz! It is an Eared Grebe. I was used to the bigger westerns, didn't know they came in several sizes. This one was worked up whistlin' for a lady:) Pretty cool. Thanks!
  18. I thought Grebe as well, but it is about 1/2 the size...closer to the size of a coot. I emailed a buddy at DU so we'll see.......
