Nice buck Cody! Good work man.

Good for you man! Congrats on a great day.

I printed three copies and put them in my pack, my truck and all of my tag envelopes.

Huh? U of A was favored by 6.5 and almost blew a 12 pt lead with 3 min to go? It looked a lot like the Wildcats were the ones with the gag ball in their mouth tonight. That was a heck of a game. The pussycats were the better team tonight. Congrats on your first decent win of the year.

Sometimes this word is confusing to me. I have often heard AZ referred to as a trophy over opportunity state, and it doesnt make sense to me. As of January 1 I will have 2 javelina tags one good for 3 weeks the other 2 week, a Spring Turkey (given that took a couple seasons to draw, but if you hunt the later hunts or archery its pretty easy or OTC), and an archery deer tag good for 9 weeks of the year. On top of that I draw a rifle deertag every year, and sometimes tack on an Aug bear hunt. We have the most liberal lion hunts in the US. Elk and antelope are bonus hunts in my mind and when I have one its a treat. All told, the only months of the year I dont typically have a valid big game tag in my pocket are March, June, July and sometimes October. Thats pretty dang good if you ask me.

How is this still a thread ? ? ?

Thats what I was getting at. People are asking for more opportunity, how much more could you want?

They are spending some serious money upgrading the palms since stations bought it. We are doing $200 million in reno for them right now.
-
If you have less than 20 pts for antelope, your odds are pretty much less than 5% for any non-archery hunt

How could he, he has told us a dozen times he and his family havent shot anything.

Good. Maybe people will realize they are horse crap and not rely on that stupid table. They are wrong, dont use them. If you want draw info hit me up, I can help.

Could, but wont, because you are a peckerhead. Learn to do math.

Dont like it, dont click it. This forum has become a go to sounding board for many folks who are integral to this community. Shoot look at the campfire right now, questions about engines, parenting advice, political arguments, lack of rut, Taylor Swift tickets ... it goes on and on Has nothing to do with one clicks on or reads, it has to do with what one types. Merry Xmas, BTW. Happy holidays!

Ok this guy clearly has lost his man card. Dancing like a Swifty with your little girl, ok thats understandable. But letting your wife turn the garage into a utility room with exercise equipment, fake brick and carpet?!?!?! FOR CRYING OUT LOUD TAKE YOUR LIFE BACK MAN!!! -

I am with you Coach, I will not use the abbreviation. For me Christmas is about the gift that Our Father in Heaven sent to us in the form of his Only Begotten Son. We spend the mo th reading, listening and watching things that will help remind us of that sacrifice on our behalf. So, to remove the name Christ from Christmas would change the meaning. Even though others might shorten the spelling, or maybe forget the meaning, I like to think that Christmas or Xmas make the world better for a month. Thanks for sharing your faith and keeping the Savior at the center of your life.

That archery deer hunt predates the time when elk even existed on Mingus. It starts the same Friday every year. In AZ we are kind of spoiled as there are very few general seasons and AZGFD does their best not to overlap hunts. In UT, ID and WY where I have hunted you will have concurrent elk/deer/antelope hunts running with general season tags overlapping with controlled hunts or draw tags. It can be a real zoo, especially when the elk hit the winter ground. Imagine having your limited entry bull tag you waited a decade to draw and on the same knob hunting the same herd is a group of dudes with spike tags they bought last night. As far as etiquette, how were those guys supposed to know if you went up, down, around or anywhere else. It happens, and its aleays frustrating. Hope you enjoyed your time out. Sounds like you learned some good intel for next time. And thats a tag you can draw with some regularity.
