Great scope for the money! on my list of next purchases, last go around i was about to buy one but found a crazy good deal on a different scope. Go check out some of the benchrest shooting sites and you will find a lot of guys using them and very good feedback. Check our Long Rang Hunting forum to see if you can catch a deal. Most everyone on that site takes extremely good care of their gear, lots of good peeps just like this site.

You can do them online. Mr Silencer has been on this site as well and I think he has a link on his site to set this up. I did this a few years ago when I bought my Supressor.

Does the 375 Ruger have a place in AZ?
rcdinaz replied to khmer6's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Heck ya on the .375! Elk for sure but anything you want to knock on its @ss that will do it. I imagine that may be ideal for hunting from a ground blind regardless of species. Also an awesome brush buster in thick cover. As a bonus if you ever get to Africa you are ready to wreak some havoc. -
Same here 10's, 12'a, 15's and spotter. Only difference I would add is get 12's! You use binos 80% of the time spend your money where your eyes will be happiest. Use the spotter for detail work. Inlove the 15's but the 12's do beat them in most categories other than the far edges of your glassing work.

Pretty sure color on a game bag is even less relevent than what kind of camo is best. 😃

Wow! Amazing I would be happy with just one of thos.

This is correct... The brand is not really the most important aspect. Most mfg's make high end very good routers. Do your search on 802.11ac and read some of the reviews on CNet, Lifehacker, Amazon, etc. An access point will make a much bigger difference than speed for some rooms due to location and interference. Oh and anything you can drop cable to and hardwire then do it so you can enjoy full speed.

One of my kids drew a 23 Jr hunt tag so I will be coming back asking for any info you guys can share. Not sure if we should focus on Muley or a WT.

I have some very expensive merino wool and for some reason I can't do it. I have used the Under Armour base layers for the last 5 years and have been very happy. I know it is taboo to speak ill of merino but I have tried multiple brands and just can't get over the itching. Guess I am a wuss.

Talk to Ernesto like prdatr said. Shoot me a PM if you have other questions or if you book a trip and I can give you some feedback on how to make the trip go smoothly.

Outdoorsman's glassing stool
rcdinaz replied to 280REM's topic in Western Hunter and Elk Hunter Magazine
Murphy you have to try a Walkstool there is no comparison. My dad and another hunting buddy have went through quite a few like the one you are using. Collapsible legs and the ability to get the right height so you can can sit for a much longer period also surprisingly light for having oversized aluminum legs and heavier material. There is a reason anyone who has used these geeks out over a silly stool. -
Outdoorsman's glassing stool
rcdinaz replied to 280REM's topic in Western Hunter and Elk Hunter Magazine
Amazon has them with free shipping if you are a prime customer. You can't find them because it is a Swedish company and they are coming all the way from Europe. The Walkstool is a whole different deal than the anything else out there. I told myself I was an idiot for spending the $ and now I can't live without it. Folds up small enough to fit in a pack pocket and tough as can be. People will scoff at the price but I have used the snot out of mine for the last 3 years and it is still almost like new. http://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Portable-Folding-Walkstool-Basic/dp/B001V3JZHY/ref=pd_sim_421_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=1Q774D6H5X9HM5Y58NS7 -
It is all personal preference just like Mil vs MOA. My main rifle is a Mil, FFP Leupold now but all the others are 2nd. If I were starting out I would most likely just stick with MOA and FFP as it seems more intuitive and a little less learning is required. I have a Vortex PST as well, good scope for the $ and it should do everything you need it to.

New 300 RUM build by Sovereign Rifles

That should be an awesome rifle! -
Awesome! Coolest critter there is...

I just bought this one a few months back. Amanda used to have similar ones on her site but they were out. This is not your light weight CF tripod it is a big tall sturdy sucker for the spotter, big binos, and rifle rest. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L1F86CM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

You can use an iPad or phone with an adaptor like you mentioned. I end up taking my laptop in my pack now since it is just way easier. I can move all the files and erase the card all at once so it just make things easier. You could buy a $200 laptop and use it just for your hunting stuff, DVD drive wold give you movies as well.

HA! I said the same thing yesterday when someone brought up this topic. If the ban catches on then they will get expensive. -
I will throw in an opinion... 1) look for a used rifle that has been set up for this such as a Savage or Remington 2) Build your own Savage I would go with a 7mm or 308 because there is a ton more data for loads and components for reloading. DO NOT get a wild cat or anything requiring fire-forming or the die, components, etc will cost you a lot more and you will also limit the market on selling it if you need to or change your mind. My 0.02 on caliber would be 7mm RM, 300 win mag, or WSM's in both calibers this way you don't go broke buying brass such as Ultra Mags. I own an Ultra Mag and a Dakota and they are great but reloading is 2x the cost. I don't have time to go through all the classifieds out there but here is an example of what you can find. Yes it is a Howa action and not a Savage or Rem but this is an example. Also check Sniper hide, etc... http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f25/custom-howa-7mm-wsm-mcmillan-154757/

I have the Swaro HD 85 and it is a great scope. I am not 100% sure it is worth the added expense over Razor which seems like a great deal. I have looked through Kowa also which everyone loves but I thought the Swaro had a noticeable edge in clarity. I would say I would not mind having the smaller 65's in high end glass. The FOV is fantastic in the big scope but I am not sure it is necessary for checking scores and zooming in on a bedded animal. For moving animals and long term staring at the side of a hill it is better but I use binos for that. I also would not hesitate to buy the top end Zeiss or Leica for a good deal. I think the smaller Leica is fantastic clear, light, and good ergonomics.

I posted some info on my setup at this link a few months back. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/57336-i-want-to-reload-i-need-advice/ Will hunt for Coues has a great list as a starting point. I agree stainless is the only way to go on the brass cleaning. I bought the HF tumbler with 2 cans and it does great and was a steal with the coupon. We need a sticky on this! What is required to get started and then recommendations and reviews on tools.
