Bow is no better! Inclination, fletching twist/offset, site cant, 3rd axis, arrow wt, spine, and a bunch of crap other I haven't figured out.... I know guys that make fishing so technical its scary and funny. Like most things it only starts to seem simple after you do stuff a bunch of times as was stated above. My buddies who dont enjoy the learning part and challenge drive me nuts. "Okay you do it and figure it out and show me how"

Last Minute Mexico Coues Deer Hunt (great deal!)
rcdinaz replied to rcdinaz's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I just pulled the date in 1 week by request of the outfitter. John I left you v-mail. Matty I am pretty sure you can but I am waiting to hear back for verification. -
Stomp that is good enough to be a sticky. Could add brief description on a few other items BC, SD, Energy, Coriolis, Spin drift, barometric pressure, humidity, etc... All the potential factors to calculate POI in one place would be great I found turning off spin drift on my hadheld program had a pretty significant impact (in a bad way) on long range accuracy. I believe the quick math you can do in your head was 1MOA for most cartridges on average in the direction of the barrels twist.

Congratulations! Well Done!

People are absolutely clueless... I am constantly amazed that people have no idea that most areas they think are amazing wilderness areas with "beautiful creatures" do not realize that these things exist only because they have been saved, or restored by hunters. South Africa may be the single best example of this in the world.

Some magical coating! lol And 4.25 minutes more glassing every evening! I would love to have the 12's and will eventually buy a pair. Once you get to the elite binos it is more about the little things than some huge noticeable change in vision. Although all the birding folks seem to agree that the Swaro 12's and the Zeiss T's are something special.

Awesome! I am sure he is well over 100", puts him in the monster class as far as I'm concerned. Isn't that something like less than 10%? Can't remember...

I have it let me know when you want to pick it up.

If it is down by the down wash. Dryer with a couple of tennis balls and a few extra bath towels on low or hang dry it and then throw it in for a while. It brings back the loft.

Duck Hunting Advice?

Pretty hard to decide... My win SX3 is the best shotgun I have shot or owned but I would still take a red label in 20g as my next one. So I guess it depends on purpose... Handguns, AR style, carbine, lever, big bore, a whole different deal. For standard bolt guns I couldn't choose one, Remington, win, savage, tikka, are all very good. We have one ruger which is a great rifle as well. Never owned a WBY, browning, sako, Kimber, to judge. Guess it is good we have a lot great choices these days!

Duck Hunting Advice?

Where and how are you planning on hunting? Decoys, boat, jump shooting. Any type of duck on your wish list? -
Great outing and a really nice bear! Congrats!

Awesome! Congrats! First deer just cant be beat.

The ones you have to look for that just went through a critter! Check out black eagle arrows as well. Great company, great arrows, and the zombie slayer logo is very cool!

I think I saw a video where you play that dying rabbit sound, after the bacon rub down, while you put your hands in the hole. Get your head in there if you can so you can see what your grabbing. I checked, YouTube took down the video, they do that with all the good ones. To replace it you should video tape your badger hunt. I am predicting at least 1M hits!

What rifle scope do you use?
rcdinaz replied to rhineheimer's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
NXS, Leupold MKIV, Vortex PST, Burris (multiple), Bushnell Elite. I bought each one to go with a specific rifle. My next will most likely be a Zeiss for a weight conscious rifle, their performance to weight ratio is about the best I have seen. If you are happy with a ballistic reticle the Zeiss is a great upgrade option. If you want turrets then it would probably be hard to beat Vortex for the price to value ratio and their warranty. Lot's of good choices these days!
