Check out my camp! Figured this pic says it all!

Wow! That is an awesome rack. -
Cool deer!

Can we make this a sticky! We can start a CWT.com dictionary/wiki

I think the 25-06 is a great round for coues but I am not sure I would try and push it past 500 yds since you just can't get heavy enough bullets through it keep the energy up IMHO. For inside of 500 it is great. I say buy it if it is a good deal. At some point you may still want a varmint specific rifle and a long range rifle... or two... or three...or

I wear gators almost all the time now! Between plants and ants finding ways into my boots/pants I gave up staying cool...

Wow! I have never weighed a primer in my life. I do all the other steps you mentioned as well but have never used solvent. Have been kicking around getting a steel media tumbler.

I have done the case sorting, bullet sorting, meplat, trimming, neck turning, etc. If you are trying to get really small groups for competition all of them have their place I guess but I have come to the conclusion that the work yields very small if any differences in most cases. One thing I do think is a big deal is the quality of the cases. If you are going to spend all of this time then I would switch to Lapua cases or like said by matched cases from, Hornady. The Lapua stuff is far better than any of the others with machined flash holes, etc. and it is usually all very close in case weight. On the other stuff I usually make three groups from new brass and load the largest group of matched within a few grains for my hunting, final load testing, and +700 yd targets. The other stuff I use for coyotes, shorter target shooting, fouling, or other times where I know it wont make a difference. After watching Shawn Carlock's reloading video, the stuff from Gunwerks, Fr. Frog's site, and some of the articles on Accurate Shooter there are a lot of long and very long range shooters who spend a lot less time on this stuff then you would think. What they all do is shoot A LOT.

Is the SX 1 a bare bow or are there any accessories? -

I wish I had a place to put goats they seem awesome from what I have seen and read. And mules are awesome but take even more room. If anyone knows of anyone that rents goats or is looking for partner to share the expense let me know. I just don't have any room to keep them.

scope mounting and bore sighting

It almost sounds like the stock is to long for you? I can't remember a rifle I ran out of room moving back for proper eye relief. Go check out the Midway video on YouTube regarding length of pull. As for bases a one piece base with 20 MOA adjustment is a simple fix, Burris is also a good recommendation if you don't already have rings you were planning on using. -
scope rings - need your help
rcdinaz replied to azpredator@work's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
This! But if you want simple go with the Burris set up and you won't have to sweat alignment, ring lapping, or over tightening (within reason). Torque everything per mfg specs so you don't ruin your new scope. Set up is very simple with Burris! -
Swaro needing repair OMG at hunting season
rcdinaz replied to willhunt4coues's topic in Optics and tripods
I just got two pairs back last month. I thought the service was very good but it did take about 3 weeks but I shipped them slow boat. I would guess 10 days should be very reasonable. -
I have noticed a lot of company's now make smartwool type socks. Lorpen are pretty good and the UnderArmour stuff is good for warm weather. I will buy darn tough socks next since I consistently see a lot of guys ranking these even a little higher than Smart Wool.

No one is biting on the "I am Sparkyticus"??? Come on...

Get the contacts they are worth $1000 never mind $300. Think about it you are contemplating $2000 optics to compensate. I have worn them for many years and have better than 20/20 corrected, blind as a bat without them. If you keep them wet they will never fall out. I wore them for years boxing and in martial arts and I can count on one hand the number of times a guy knocked one loose. Scratching them just doesn't really happen just like you don't scratch your cornea now.

Some pics I just pulled off of a cam up on the Rim. Any guesses on what the big mulie scores? It is the biggest deer I have seen in a long time but of course I have no tag. A lot of calves in the couple of groups of elk coming ang going. One pic had three in a row posing. I thoght the last little spike looked a little like an alien checking the camera out.

Incredible! Awesome! Congratulations looks like it was a really spectacular experience.

I would vote on the Lapua as well. I almost went the Edge route and ended up having a 7mm built instead. The Lapua has been in use forever, great brass, and a lot of choices. You may want to determine what trigger, barrel, stock, magazine type, and so on and then decide what the best value is that hits all your needs. Obviously if you go customer you can get any thing you want in any caliber but you may find a very good stock or even a used gun you can customize and save a bunch of dough.

Tough Question
rcdinaz replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
People want animals to be human, they have no concept or regard for the natural order of things. That poor dog has no ability to reason and will always be a victim of what it learned from the past so I can't imagine it will ever make it as a well adjusted pet. I agree someone did all of this to make themselves feel better. For the record I have had a small dog that we spent thousands on in medical bills due to an immune deficiency but the dog was well adjusted and had no physical limitations. So I am not heartless regarding pets but believe there is a pretty clear cut line if thy have a true physical problem that results in suffering. -
Wow! Nice buck!

That is funny! We had an African spur that was big enough to clear the step for the back door and would come in looking for food if it saw my daughter. He got too big and started getting a bit aggressive with the kids if he was eating so he is now at my sisters. She has boys and they just think it is funny when he hisses at them or the dog. It is getting really big and goes through at least a head of lettuce a day, helps keep the lawn mowed also .
