If it was me and I was going to use a dog to blood trail any big game animal other than mountain lion or bear and that's only if bear and lion is open, I would leave weapons at camp. If I was to wound an animal on the last day of the hunt, I would notify AZGFD if i was going to try and recover animal after the season closes.

The biggest plus is as a NR with a lifetime license you aren't subject to the 10% cap put on other NR.

If you draw a tag in either one of those units, you won't have a problem finding a turkey. If you draw the 35A hunt I would participate in the survey. It's usually a couple weeks before the hunt.

Looking at the bonus point report it looks like 8 NR points didn't even make it into the bonus pass. There were 6 NR with 9 points that put 36B late December as their 1st and 2nd choices. 3 put it as their first choice and 3 as their 2nd choice 4 of the 6 drew in the bonus pass.

That area wasn’t being used for camping it was being used as a permanent camp site, people basically living there rent free and never moving on. It was getting freaking out of control. I’m glad the USFS finally did something about it.

If it was the late December tag NR should only get 5 tags and last year there were 6 NR that put it as there 1st and 2nd choice with 8 points. Could just be point creep🤷‍♂️

If only known 3 people who have drawn sheep tags, one had 6 pts, one had 7pts and one had 9 pts.

I think the AZGFD needs to revaluate the LIfetime license requirements. It is way to easy to live here for 6 months and establish residency and then buy a lifetime license and then move on and then not be in the 10% cap. I think you should have to be a resident for at least 5 years before you're able to buy a lifetime license. Heck in order to qualify for a Pioneer license you have to be 70 years old and live in the state for 25 consecutive years.

According to the draw report there was 1 NR with 19pts that drew and 1 NR with 29 pts. 1 R drew with 14 so unless that R was a NR with a lifetime license the draw report doesnt show any NR with 14 points drawing.

Been discussion on MM, one guy there has some pretty good evidence that there was a screw up. I wonder how many NR with lifetime license this affected? Personally I believe it is time the department relooks at the residency requirements for obtaining a lifetime license.

So, if an individual puts in solo and has 6 points then the app is assigned 7 random numbers and the lowest random number of the 7 is assigned to the app? So if 4 people with 6 points put in together does each individual get 7 random numbers which would give them 28 chances at a low random number and then the lowest of the 28 random numbers is assigned to the app or is the 7 random number average used to issue their 7 random chances at a low number and that number is assigned to applicant A giving the whole application the same number of chances as a single person app?

There are quite a few that stay the same every year but they do rotate some around.

Tough place to be in for sure. From what they're saying some units have experienced huge winter kill as high as 50% of the population. I think the thing that would worry me the most is if WY goes to 90/10 which would really hurt the NR draw odds.

I have been on 2 hunts in 35A, the first had 5 tags and the second hunt 4 years later had 12 or 13 tags both hunts were over opening day and we didn't run into any of the other hunters on either hunt. I did participate on the surveys for both hunts that were a couple weeks before the hunts. It was pretty fun and every evening I would sit down and go over the survey data and discuss with some of the other hunters who had tags where they planned on hunting it was quite beneficial.
