Snow Chains

Recommended Posts

I have a 2 sets of chains for the truck.  But was looking around the ole interwebs and found some 2 Link V Bar style chains, dang some beefy gear.  Price, about $500 to $600.00 a pair, ouch.  Anyone ever use the 2 link style and or even the V Bar setup?

I had them years ago when I had a Mitsubishi  front wheel dr mini,I was a ski bum and used them in Co and sometimes in Az. Chains are chains, Im  sure they twist when you drive so the photo is a perfect scenario. Unless you’re in black ice ,I don’t see a benefit. In mud and soup like we see here  in AZ , chains are chains. Save your $.

I have those chains for my dodge/cummins and my cherokee.  But I bought them in or around 2001 and they were like $125-$140 back then.  Compare to other good brand chains which were in the $80 range.

I like them but not for $600.

These are what I run, front and back.  The V Bar are really nice, but never had issues with below.
