No US stamp or inspection stamp on it. 100% civilians gun shipped to New York City in 1876

Very interesting.  I was recently reading about how the first 1873s were shipped from Colt to the civilian market in Dec 1875

Yes, this was one of the first shipments to land in civilian hands in 1876.

Very cool bit of history there.  The interrupted thread design was ahead of its time.  I knew these existed but have never seen one.  Thanks for posting.
