Do you have a chrono to shoot with and with out the CAN to see what the speeds are doing? My CAN's produce 50-100 fps faster. 

Just using factory hornady ammo. I dont have a chrono to check.

Im going to head back to range soon and check and see if its still doing it and I will also try it without can on it.

did you ever get this figured out?  What rifle are you shooting and what caliber?  I had a couple of customers have problems with Hornady 7mm PRC out of Christensen rifles.  We sent them back for similar problems.
