CatfishKev Report post Posted Saturday at 11:43 PM With having the ports closer to the chamber do you lose any velocity? Generally speaking just wondering. I got a hellcat pro I wanna get done but I'm thinking close to the barrel and moving the iron sight back...

MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted 11 hours ago Actually have never looked at speed on any hand gun ive owned, I just shoot groups and steel and it either is there or its not. I can certainly test it but I dont see a need. The ports are actually sealed by the bullet as it travels out, the little bit of gas passing the bullet is no longer pushing it anyway so my uneducated guess would be no loss at all. I do plan to test recoil which there is plenty of info on but each design and port size has little differences. I went on the low end as far as port size so I can open them up later. Need to get some slow mo shots from the side before and after. Looking at grouping is what i really want to see. I dont shoot the 40 near as tight as the 9mm.
