7mm-08 Load Recommendations

Recommended Posts

I need to develop loads for a couple of Browning 7mm-08’s I have.  One is an X-Bolt, the other is a BAR mk3.  What suggestions of bullets and weights do you have?  Rifles and loads are to be used on Az Coues Whitetail and mule deer.  I’m open to suggestions.

Varget is a very stable/consistent power. Just a bit too fast for me when I was reloading for it. I preferred IMR4064 as it filled the case more and gave better accuracy. Remington 700 Varmint Special 1: 9.25. Shot cloverleafs to 1/2" groups. AR15 was also right in there.

Whatever powder works is going to lean more on the rifles twist then bullet selection.
