yotebuster Report post Posted August 29 My brother drew this tag this year and we’re gonna give it everything we got. His schedule is flexible enough to allow him to hunt the whole season, as well as get there 5 days early which I think will be extremely beneficial to be there at the tail end of the bowhunt and find a target bull on cows. I plan to get there the day before the hunt to help him with as much as I can as will our other brother. He’s probably gonna start with the more traditional elk country in the N end, but was curious if any of you guys had any luck finding bulls in the Mazatzals? We plan to bring backpacking gear in case we dig into there but that’s a big chunk of wild country to throw all of our chips in on! I’ve spent a bit of time in there over the years but didn’t see any elk. I guess shameless plug to any of you guys that spot a big one in there deer hunting!!! I’ll swing back around when it’s all said and done and let you guys know how it goes!
