Have a Timney in a newer M70 gun and it seems good but I think it could break alittle more crisp but maybe I'm being overly picky, I like the glass breaking snap of a trigger regardless of what the LBS are. PRDATR Report post Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM I put a Rifle Basix in a Savage Axis. Not bad for a $100 trigger. Has a micro millimeter of creep. I have a Timney in my 700 that I like better. With trigger I would think you get what you pay for and can live with. Shooting from the bench is one thing. Hunting situations when you have seconds to get off a shot may dictate an entirely different situation. Either way nothing can beat more "trigger time". I wonder if the reason for the rifle basix triggers being cheaper is the more simple construction not necessarily the quality. Simple fix for getting that crisp clean break is getting a tighter fit on the trigger pins that hold the trigger on the action. A few adjustments on the sear engagement and over travel screws can also help. Timney as well as Rifle Basix offer great after the sale service.
