22-250

Recommended Posts

Anyone ever hunted pig's with a 22-250? Just wondering how it would do because I am thinking of trying it out this year. In the past I always used a .243 or .270 but I was thinking of trying something different.

I have used it but use soft points and not varmint type hollowpoints. I have also used a TC in 223 when I took my first one about 20 yrs ago.

Both my kids took their first deer with the 22-250 too using a 62gr Trophy Bonded Bearclaw.

It will drop them like a bag of Snot! A good round!

Thats a great gun and a great round. My wife used my 22-250 last year for her pig. Dropped a big boar at 151 yards with one shot!

222, 223 and 22-250 are excellent calibers for Javis. So is the 22 MAG. but you must keep shots 150 yards or under.
