Scope mounting Question

Recommended Posts

I got my wife a Remington 700 in 7mm for christmas. Just picked up a Vortex HS LR 4-16x50. I want to use a nightforce direct mount. Do I have to use the high mount?

DMZ . I have two 7 mags and both of these on them with 2 different swaro scopes and they are awesome. Easy to mount. Fit good on the gun.

You should be able to look at the specs on the mount to know where the centerline of tube is (and or bottom of tube). From there it is a simple calc based on the outside diameter of the 50mm objective (which is bigger than 50).

I have a 700 and a 50mm Vortex scope. I use low rings and still have more than .25" gap between scope and barrel.
