Krylon vs ...

Recommended Posts

I have a couple synthetic stocks that I am going to try and paint. Looking to do something fairly simple like tan with black webbing. I'm planning on doing a few coats of tan and then the webbing, followed by a few coats of a flat clear coat. For those of you who have done this dose krylon seem pretty durable or is there something else that I should consider using? I want this to be a diy project so Im not looking to get it dipped. Also for those that have painted stocks is there anything you would do or not do if you were to paint another one?

I've used duracoat on a synthetic stalk and it has held up great.

Krylon or Rustoleum work fine with a couple coats of flat clear over the top. I have done numerous rifles and stocks.
