Leveling a scope?

I have done this before but wanted to see what you guys did to align your scope perfectly when mounting it.

 

I have the two little cheap levels. One that goes on the turret and one that sits in the chamber.

 

I want to make 100% my reticle is perfect on this next rifle.

i drop a level on the uncapped turret, one level tube on the scope rail. then one lengthwise on the barrel. if your rifle is pointing up or down and not level it will throw off the other bubbles. or a small flat peice of metal. place one side on the rail and tilt it up against the turret housing if its even its good.

I put my rifle in the cradle, level it on the pic rail.

I put half my rings on set the scope in, level it on the turret then secure the rings with the torque wrench. It's worked so far.

I use a laser level pointed at the wall and a magnetic level I put on the rails of my chamber.

I look through scope and align her all up.

Double triple and quadruple checking everything as I tighten.

I get it close on the bench by leveling the rifle out and using a level on the top turret while snugging all the bolts down. I then take it to the range and level the rifle all out on the bench and hang a plumb bob @100 yards to get it perfect and properly toque the rings down. Seems to be about the best way I have found to make it perfect

Great method Gibbs! I do the same
