Great pics, unusual they were not hibernating. What was the temp inside the cave? Appear to be Pallid vs. Townsend long-eared bats but hard to see the ears on them. Thanks for sharing.

The thing I remember most from going to Carlsbad Caverns is the bat flight. They are cool critters.

These bats are living in a cave in Africa. While I am not 100% on the species, I am fairly confident they belong to one of the larger species in the Horseshoe Bat family. Pretty weird experience crouching in a dark cave feeling wind from their wing beats on the back of your neck.

AHA! lol, solves the mystery. Africa?.. Never having been there I now have no clue what species they are other than those are still cool pics. thanks for sharing.
