Meat from animals in the rut

I don't put in for the December coues deer hunts anymore, because the meat isn't anywhere near as good as the early season deer that I've shot. All of the December deer were dropped in their tracks, boned out immediately and hung up in cold weather.

soak it in milk over night

same as any other dehydrating liquid, milk pulls the blood out which is gamey. Wine and salt water will do the same. Some meat is beyond that point though.
