Great to get out

Recommended Posts

Took me a while to get around to heading south, but I'm thankful I did. Have had a great couple of solo hunts (12/23 and 12/27) exploring new, less-trafficked areas for the polkadot rockets.

Beautiful country, great dog work finding coveys and then singles by my 11y/o shorthair. Thankfully my shooting is keeping up with his finding and we have put two limits in the bag in with relatively short mornings before it gets too hot. As it is, he needs about 2 days to recover after a day (3-4 hours) of hunting in this country.

Enjoy the pics- more on the coati in another post.

Sweet, great looking partner. Love those mearns? Or scaled? and the cotti. I had an archery shot at one in January but passed since it was the first one I've ever seen.

Great looking male for 11 years old!. I lost my male to cancer at 10 and I'm training two female pups now. One is a little over 1 and the other is just over 2. GSP's are amazing dogs and they both did awesome in Mearns country this year! I'm hoping to get out a couple more times before the end of the season.
