lancetkenyon Report post Posted May 29, 2018 Fluting the barrel will shave 4-8 oz off depending on style, depth, # if flutes, etc. There are other ways to shave weight off that rifle as well. But they all cost $$. Alloy bolt shroud -2oz Cut off bolt knob and install CF knob -2oz Flute bolt body -1oz TI firing pin -.25oz Alloy Picatinny rail (if that is steel now) -2 to 3oz Different stock (looks like an HS Precision on there) -10 to 16oz w.
