Good job Mark here's a pic. Congrats again on your first archery buck.

Guess I have been lucky and never had an ant problem in a tree stand before. I have got one now by the hundreds and don't know the best approach to ensure a comfortable 5 hour set without them crawling all over me. Any advise or experience? How stinky would plain ole ant killer be?

The areas we used to hunt coues in august were great for glassing and in around the 4,000 ft. mark. The bucks we watched were up and moving at first light till 7:30 or 8:00. It was like a switch after 8:00 we only glassed bedded deer. I shot a buck in august same area the next year on rifle hunt (October) same area I shot another buck. We don't hunt down there anymore in august due to the heat.

Put two of my daughters in this year for the first time. I cant wait for the draw to happen.

I don't get caught up so much on the size of the rack as the method of take. That being said it sucks when you tag out and the hunt is over for another year might have to start trophy hunt lol
