moved tag discussion to campfire for further debate and hate mail. :)

They printed my archery tag 5 times because of an alignment issue with the printer. I got a duplicate "because the line was so long and they couldn't contact the sup to void it out." No wonder they ran out... -
Awesome day. Looking forward to hearing more of your hunt. I was up in my treestand and only had a spike walk under me all day.

Using a ground blind, need advice
azpredator@work replied to AzHuntingAddict's topic in Other Hunting Gear
Brush it in well and make sure you break up the outline of the roof. Place it down wind of the expected game travel. If possible, face your shooting window North so the sun doesn't penetrate as much and the netting doesn't prohibit your visibility. Close as much of it as you can. Leave just enough window open so you can comfortably shoot. Set it up a few days ahead of time to air it out. I spray mine down at the house and again in the field. My son shot his first coues buck out of a ground blind at 6 yards on a travel route to a bedding area. They can be a lot of fun and you can film your hunt as well. Good luck. -
Well, dissapointed is an understatement.... . 9k pics and only 6 different bucks. Have never hunted deer in this spot yet, but this may be the year if it doesn't get snowed out again. These guys need to be wiped out... Teaser buck from year's past...same spot.

Same thing happened to me. I had 3 trail cameras stolen out of my wife's rig in '12. They were in custom painted lock boxes and still had the masterlocks on them. I provided the police with all info after setting up an arranged meeting with the seller. I had pics of what the set ups looked like and had the keys to the locks. Made no difference. I never met the guy thinking the police would deal with it....never heard anything. I have regrets and think about what I would do now, but in reality losing $600 is better than a felony. My home was broken into in '11 by a couple losers and they stole thousands of dollars worth of rifles, bows, cameras, and other valuables. Neighbor provided license plate and description. Luckily, I had insurance because the cops found nothing. They told me to check craigslist and give them a call if something pops up. Good luck. I hope you get your stuff back.

I have shot the following out of my rifle I bought this year: * hornady superformance 180gr * hornady custom 150gr sst, 180gr sst * federal premium 180gr * federal premium 165gr * Barnes vortex tsx 165gr, 180gr * HSM berger 168gr My gun shot all well, but really liked the HSM and Barnes the best. Hornady superformance the least.

There are lowlife's in every sport - hunting has plenty. I've had many cameras stolen including the first one my son ever put out. That one hurt the worst. Guys who love and respect hunting don't pull this crap - it's the same type who poach, tresspass, shoot w/out regard, etc. It's something you have to understand that everytime you place a camera in the woods there's a chance you will not see it again.

Changed out batteries and memory card from my favorite cam spot. While I was there I met a family from West Virginia hunting and was able to help them out locate some elk . I leave this camera out year round and it has been there for 3 years. The size of bulls were dissapointing this year, but I figured I'd share anyways.

This happened to my son's bull last year in the same unit. It was found. G&F told me it would be auctioned off in the fall.
