DO TWO OF THESE PIGS LOOK BIG TO YOU? VIDEO CLIP
GreyGhost85 replied to azbullelkman's topic in Javelina
look like your standard 35-45 lb adult hogs to me. the difference in a nice pig, and a really big one is only about 15-20lbs though. -
man, i would do a lot of questionable things for cash before i resorted to selling my mounts. hopefully they find a good home

No, thats why they have limits on them. We almost kept a limit this time, but I usually just keep a few for dinner. I dont like to freeze them. If we didn't release most yesterday we would have sank my boat.:-) i gotcha. looks like a blast! thanks for the clarification

My grandpa killed a bull that also scored 412 in 1959. I'll post pics soon. But no not a world record i've seen that bull. what a giant! post up some pics

release stripers? aren't they an invasive species in which the G&F urges people to not release?

doesn't matter who, what, when, where the bull was killed. someone is always skeptical of the supposed score. congrats to the hunter. amazing bull. scores are for sports

My first trail cam photos (picture heavy)
GreyGhost85 replied to kazpilot25's topic in Trail Cameras
apparently those are all yearling bulls, and there is no way it came from one of them. impossible scenario. elk grow 200" in their first year. the bull in my avatar must only a little over 2 years old -

how hard would it be to get a suppressor?
GreyGhost85 replied to muledeerhntr's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
seemed like a pretty legit question to me? -
only if you'll throw in some sick subwoofers with it.

Just got a photo of a supposed 190" nontypical coues killed in a southern AZ unit. the picture is just of its head, no hunter in it. sure looks like a coues and sure looks HUGE to me. It will be interesting to see if this is legit or not. anyone else seen this?

190" coues killed in southern AZ?!?!?
GreyGhost85 replied to GreyGhost85's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
it's teeth are showing, has white crust around it's nose, nose and lips are pushed back against the ground. i am pretty positive it is not a mount -
looks like a decent bear. 200 lbs or so is my guess. i'm leaning very heavily towards sow.long, pointy nose, no shoulder hump, not real muscular front end. looks like it has a great coat though

high end, high HP grinders will power through about anything, and most of the sinew you miss will get caught in the grinder head. some big, old, tough animals need to be ground a couple of times. for most animals, we usually run it through coarse, then run it through fine. i have never ground up a javelina. I have cooked them and had to throw away pots, pans etc. because the javelina smell would not come out of them. i have been afraid that the smell would stick to the grinder

I heard that AZGFD.gov, under the hunt unit description, is a great resource for pointing people in the right direction. If i were new to hunting, this would probably be my first place to look. I have also heard that there are unit maps on the website that show what part of the state the units are in?
