  3. Hey guys, I drew my first out of state NM tag. Really excited to put in some work this coming up season. Ive got a couple questions. Ive been e scouting like crazy in unit 17, the san mateo range and magdalena of course. Just curious how much the weather in january in new mexico fluctuates and if its the typical " Snow will push em down" mentality. Also will the muleys be pushin does pretty hard that time of year . Is that pre , post or center of the rut? Also will the deer be with elk or do they tend to feed in different areas. Any info greatly appreciated.

  11. howdy all, who else here has a 12a archery tag this year? I'm familiar with the east side and becoming familiar with the west side now as i've already been up there this year once and by the hunt plan to be there another 3-4 more times to do some further scouting. As it seems the usual for me when i pull a kaibab tag my hunting buddies aren't able to make it up there with me this year as they have other hunts planned at the same time not in the bab so I will be hunting solo. So far i've focused on area's to hunt in and not so much "camp" or drop my trailer in. I'm looking for some suggestions on roads to look at in regards to having a decent amount of camping spots open, cell phone isn't required either but naturally it would be nice for the evenings. I know cell reception would be limited to say a 5-8 mile radius of jacobs lake where the tower is. If you've got suggestions for area's besides the burn, joe's mud hole for me to take a look at i'm all ears but by no means am I here asking or looking for secret spots. I'm determined to get time in the field using my boots and glass to make the best of it, but open and truly thankful for any suggestions to help me narrow down my focus a little bit. Pic for attention and to spur the excitement of the upcoming bab hunt!

    WTB Hoyt RX3 RH

Looking to buy. Right handed. I’m located in Mesa but work all over estate and can meet anywhere.
  19. fairly new bow I've only had for less than a year and its been a great bow I'm just ready for an upgrade. it comes with a trophy ridge 5 pin sight along with a whisker biscuit and a limb saver stabilizer with a peep sight already installed. the draw weight can be adjusted from 60-70 pounds and the draw length can be adjusted from 26-30.5 inches and its set at 65 pounds and 28.5 inch draw right now. its in great condition, one of the cable strings has some wear on it but nothing major and the other cable string was recently replaced because i didn't wax the strings so it frayed quite a bit and so i decided to replace it. the limbs are basically perfect and i cant pick out any scratches. i know some people are ok with putting their bows on the ground but i was never that guy, i hate putting my bow on the ground. asking 750 as this bow was 650 bare bow plus all the extras that i have added and the new string. keep in mind that the string is literally brand new and was about 40 bucks so thats 40 bucks you wont have to pay:) i also have a soft shelled case for it that is brand new that isn't included but for the right price you could buy both. text me for questions about bow or case and for case price. thanks!! -623-910-3399

NM Unit 23 Mule Deer 2020

Gentlemen, Having been in a motorcycle accident last year, I am hoping someone can help me keep a few miles off of my hip by leading me in the right direction for a NM Unit 23 archery mulie hunt. This hunt will be my first act as a civilian after nearly 24 years on active duty since the first day of the hunt corresponds with my first day on the retirement rolls (woo hoo!). My tag does not allow me into the Burro Mountain Hunt Area, but the rest of the unit is fair game. I am willing to abide by "no shoot" restrictions if you are willing to put me in an area you have been running trail cams; a satellite buck will feed my family just fine. I have heard there are bucks in the southern portion of the unit, but they're hard to find (meaning fewer hunters in my mind). Thank you for any help you can offer. Kind regards, JD
