CALLING ALL DEMOCRATS

Recommended Posts

Gotta be some hunters who also feel compelled to vote for Obama!

I would genuinely like to understand your reasons for supporting him.

Please people - be decent and dont flame anyone who expresses themselves on this subject!

I will be writing in a name and no, I do not support B.O. Nor do I support John McAmnesty.

If McLame cannot win AZ, his home state, without my vote, he has no chance to win the election.

Didn't Clinton win his second term and lose in his home state?

DB you are going to do what you want to do and that is fine ;)

I do not believe "McLame" is going to be our best President

but we are looking at the lessor of two evils

And with Sarah in the wings things are looking better ;)

You know all this and I have not been very politically active in the past.

I CAN TELL EVERYONE ONE THING, I WILL VOTE AGAINST B.O.

and that means voting for John and Sarah.

My $.02 and respect yours

Cast your vote DB but I hope not to many do the same.

Thanks

Gore would have beat W the 1st time and we would have never heard the words "hanging chad", if he could have won his home state of Tennessee.

If Palin were on the top of the ticket, I might vote differently.

A friend of mine had an interesting take on this election. We might have to hit rock bottom, as a country, before we realize how socialism and trying to be the worlds police force is ruining the country. Electing BO would hitting rock bottom, IMO.

Vote for Palin now and she will be at the top of the ticket next four years down the road. If BO wins he may be in for the next 8 and she will not have the chance to be on top. I say vote for her now and you will be able to vote for her again.

I support Obama, the last 8 years are one reason, the last 2 weeks are another reason, the next 10 years are the last one. Republican control of Congress over the last 20 years has helped to create the market situation we are in right now (see Phil Gramm/John McCain to know what I'm talking about), and no I don't think the current Democratic Congress is any step forward, rather I see it as a step back, they are pathetic.

I believe that there needs to be a radical shift in this country's energy policies and economics. Instead of funding Saudi and Emirate princes' luxury jets, palaces, and toys (>$800 billion a year in oil export money), why don't we make some of our own energy -- and not the kind that gushes? The 'next wars' to be fought over oil are already being fought, why don't we remove ourselves from the equation?

Are you afraid of Obama because he is black? democrat? liberal? change? Bob Herbert of the NY Times had an outstanding OP ed on September 9th about being a liberal... How many of you have ever benefited from civil rights? women's rights? social security or unemployment insurance? medicare or medicaid? Are any/all of these things fundamentally wrong?

I'm not afraid of losing my gun rights or my hunting rights, there are too many democrats who back guns (and basically all republicans), and hunting is a STATE governed issue so it shouldn't matter that Palin hunts, what should matter is the difference of a heartbeat from being the most powerful person on the planet. Bush was a hometown people's-person who America felt they could connect to, look at how he did.

You forgot to add Muslim... And yes, I am afraid of having a Muslim President. As the old saying goes, a wolf comes in sheep's wool.

We are sending $800 B to terrorist every year because we are to stupid to use any of our own oil. If, by some miracle, we found an alternative way to fuel our cars tomorrow, it would be 5-10 years before it was ready to use.

The Supreme court decision that let us keep our guns was 5-4. That is scary.

I hate SS and medicare, there is no way I or anyone else should be FORCED to participate in those programs if we do not wish to.

Clinton signed the bill relaxing the lending standards for mortgages in 1999. That was the beginning of this mess.

“CHANGE” CHICAGO STYLE

Body count: From January through July 2008, 291 people were killed (murdered) in Chicago, as compared to 218 killed in Iraq over the same time period.

Senators Barack Obama & Dick Durbin, Representative Jesse Jackson Jr., Governor Rod Blagojevich, House leader Mike Madigan, Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike), Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of former Mayor Richard J. Daley).....the leadership in Illinois.....are all Democrats.

Chicago is a combat zone…AND of course they're all blaming each other.

They can't blame Republicans, because there aren't any!

The Illinois State pension fund is $42 Billion in debt, second only to California. Cook County (Chicago) sales tax is 10.25%, the highest in the country. (Memphis is second highest at 9.25 %.)

The April 21, 2006 issue of the Chicago Tribune revealed a study released by the Consortium on Chicago School Research that stated that only 6 of every 100 Chicago Public Schools (CPS) freshmen would earn a bachelor's degree by age 25. Only 3 in 100 black or Latino men would earn a bachelor's degree by age 25. The study tracked Chicago high school students who graduated in 1998 and 1999. 35% of CPS students who went to college earned their bachelor's degree within six years, below the national average of 64%. The Chicago school system is among the worst in our country.

This is the political culture that Barack Obama failed to change in Illinois.

And he's going to 'fix' Washington politics?

slietnbutdeadly, vote for whoever you want to, but do a little more research. the republicans controlled congress for about 6 years. that ended about 2 years ago. before that, for decades, the democrats controlled both houses. when Reagan did all the good stuff he did, it was with a dem controlled house and senate. and dem's are the ones who are blocking any kind domestic oil production. won't let us drill, except where there ain't any oil. won't let us develop oil shale, oil sand or produce petroleum from coal. also won't allow any natural gas liquification or new oil refinerys. won't even let us buy oil from canada that is produced from oil shale, oil sand or from coal to oil conversion. it's a sad deal. and this mortgage crap that's going on? well read a little and all these stupid loans that folks have known were gonna tank, well you can lay that on clinton. he was the one who lobbied the heck outta mortgage companies for these bad loans so that folks that can't afford a house could buy one. this isn't something that just popped up. it's been a wreck lookin' for place to happen for years. and remember, any tax applied to big business, you get to pay it, not them. they just raise their prices accordingly to make up the difference and actually make more money in the long run because everything they do is set up on percentages. and the rich guys obama wants to tax? well guess what, you're him. if you have a job and make anything over the poverty level, you're rich and should feel bad about it. i ain't for sure who the answer is, but i know obama ain't it. if you ever want to retire or have anything, a guy that tells you up front that he's gonna tax you to death because it the patriotic thing to do, well he ain't the guy i'm gonna vote for. just from the 2nd ammendment stand point i don't see how anyone who likes to hunt or own a firearm could vote for this joker. that is one thing that mccain and especially palin, are real strong on. inform yourselves fellers. there is nothing that carries more strength that good info. and there is nothing more painfull than mistakes. take a long, hard look at how things really are. not how the media says it is. decide for yourself with good info. not campaign promises.
