CALLING ALL DEMOCRATS

Recommended Posts

slietnbutdeadly, vote for whoever you want to, but do a little more research. the republicans controlled congress for about 6 years. that ended about 2 years ago. before that, for decades, the democrats controlled both houses. when Reagan did all the good stuff he did, it was with a dem controlled house and senate. and dem's are the ones who are blocking any kind domestic oil production. won't let us drill, except where there ain't any oil. won't let us develop oil shale, oil sand or produce petroleum from coal. also won't allow any natural gas liquification or new oil refinerys. won't even let us buy oil from canada that is produced from oil shale, oil sand or from coal to oil conversion. it's a sad deal. and this mortgage crap that's going on? well read a little and all these stupid loans that folks have known were gonna tank, well you can lay that on clinton. he was the one who lobbied the heck outta mortgage companies for these bad loans so that folks that can't afford a house could buy one. this isn't something that just popped up. it's been a wreck lookin' for place to happen for years. and remember, any tax applied to big business, you get to pay it, not them. they just raise their prices accordingly to make up the difference and actually make more money in the long run because everything they do is set up on percentages. and the rich guys obama wants to tax? well guess what, you're him. if you have a job and make anything over the poverty level, you're rich and should feel bad about it. i ain't for sure who the answer is, but i know obama ain't it. if you ever want to retire or have anything, a guy that tells you up front that he's gonna tax you to death because it the patriotic thing to do, well he ain't the guy i'm gonna vote for. just from the 2nd ammendment stand point i don't see how anyone who likes to hunt or own a firearm could vote for this joker. that is one thing that mccain and especially palin, are real strong on. inform yourselves fellers. there is nothing that carries more strength that good info. and there is nothing more painfull than mistakes. take a long, hard look at how things really are. not how the media says it is. decide for yourself with good info. not campaign promises. Lark.

Can anyone tell me ANYTHING Mr. Obama has done while in the Senate? Except write books about himself?

While McCain and Palin are not perfect... Obama and Biden are worse... and a vote for a third party is a waste.

Oh God... who ever said don't discuss religion and politics was right! D.D.

Riddle for the Day

Hillary, Biden and Obama were on a donkey, in a boat, going down the river.

The river rapids were extremely rough.

The boat capsized.

Who was saved?

Anyone voting for Obama...

Yeah, McCain slipped and I bet I do stuff like that many times daily, don't you. We don't have cameras on us every second though.

what about Obama-ssiah telling everyone he has been to all 47 states (50 states in the US and 47 recognized islamic states)

or maybe .... saying how can he reduce taxes for 95 percent of the US housholds (no slip here, jsut bad math) when just over 60% of US households actually PAY any income taxes. He said Monday while talking to a Plumber in ohio, that he is not going to raise his taxes as a smalll business owner, but he just wants to "spread the wealth around" Check out the definition of Socialism or communism there dudes. Sounds pretty close to Obama's ideas.

We can go on and on for both guys so Wise up.

WHERE DID OBAMA'S MONEY COME FROM???????

OBAMA'S TROUBLING INTERNET FUND RAISING

Certainly the most interesting and potentiall y devastating phone call I have received during this election cycle came this week from one of the Obamaâ's campaign internet geeks. These are the staffers who devised Obama's internet fund raising campaign which raised in the neighborhood of $200 million so far. That is more then twice the total funds raised by any candidate in history and this was all from the internet campaign.

What I learned from this insider was shocking but I guess we shouldn't be surprised that when it comes to fund raising there simply are no rules that can't be broken and no ethics that prevail.

Obama's internet campaign started out innocently enough with basic e-mail networking , lists saved from previous party campaigns and from supporters who visited any of the Obama campaign web sites.

Small contributions came in from these sources and the internet campaign staff were more than pleased by the results.

Then, about tw o months into the campaign the daily contribution intake multiplied. Where was it coming from? One of the web site security monitors began to notice the bulk of the contributions were clearly coming in from overseas internet service providers and at the rate and frequency of transmission it was clear these donations were programmed by a very sophisticated user.

While the security people were not able to track most of the sources due to firewalls and other blocking devices put on these contributions they were able to collate the number of contributions that were coming in seemingly from individuals but the funds were from only a few credit card accounts and bank electronic funds transfers. The internet service providers (ISP) they were able to trace were from Saudi Arabia , Iran , and other Middle Eastern countries. One of the banks used for fund transfers was also located in Saudi Arabia .

Another concentrated group of donations was traced to a Chinese ISP with a similar pattern of limited credit card charges

It became clear that these don ations were very likely coming from sources other than American voters. This was discussed at length within the campaign and the decision was made that none of these donations violated campaign financing laws.

It was also decided that it was not the responsibility of the campaign to audit these millions of contributions as to the actual source (specific credit card number or bank transfer account numbers) to insure that none of these internet contributors exceeded the legal maximum donation on a cumulative basis of many small donations. They also found the record keeping was not complete enough to do it anyway.

This is a shocking revelation.

We have been concerned about the legality of bundling contributions after the recent exposure of illegal bundlers but now it appears we may have an even greater problem.

I guess we should have been somewhat suspicious when the numbers started to come out. & nbsp;We were told (no proof offered) that the Obama internet contributions were from $10.00 to $25.00 or so.

If the $200,000,000 is right, and the average contribution was $15.00, that would mean over 13 million individuals made contributions? That would also be 13 million contributions would need to be processed. How did all that happen?

I believe the Obama campaign's internet fund raising needs a serious, in depth investigation and audit. It also appears the whole question of internet fund raising needs investigation by the legislature and perhaps new laws to insure it complies not only with the letter of these laws but the spirit as well.

IS IT RIGHT FOR FOREIGN COUNTRIES TO HAVE AN INVESTMENT IN WHO BECOMES OUR NEXT PRESIDENT??? IF YOU ARE IN AGREEMENT WITH THIS, PLEASE PASS IT ON.

More things to look forward to under Obama's rule:

PREPARE for a new America: That's the message that the Rev. Jesse Jackson conveyed to participants in the first World Policy Forum, held at this French lakeside resort last week.

He promised "fundamental changes" in US foreign policy - saying America must "heal wounds" it has caused to other nations, revive its alliances and apologize for the "arrogance of the Bush administration."

The most important change would occur in the Middle East, where "decades of putting Israel's interests first" would end.

Jackson believes that, although "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades" remain strong, they'll lose a great deal of their clout when Barack Obama enters the White House.

"Obama is about change," Jackson told me in a wide-ranging conversation. "And the change that Obama promises is not limited to what we do in America itself. It is a change of the way America looks at the world and its place in it."

There is more but the article is pretty long. Look it up on the new york post if you don't believe it.

Are all you guys going to do is whine about Obama for the next 4 to 8 years. Who's fault is that going to be? Of coarse it is George Bush's fault. He will go down as the worst president ever. Because of Bush, Mc Cain does not have a chance. What has George Bush done for our great country.

1. Has not caught Bin ladin. Please There is no excuse for this. none. This is completely unexcusable. This makes USA a laughing stock. Are we really the most powerful country in the world and we can't catch one man?

2. Fought a war to defend his fathers honor and still has not won. What is the plan for Iraq. Why are we there. What was the whole point? Democracy? WMD? Most idiotic war. Are we the most powerful country in the world and can't even win a war against a destitute country of 30,000,000 without an army. Embarrassing. Do you think we could even think about attacking Iraq which is 4 times the size with four times the people. No wonder they think they can slap us in the face.

3. New Orleans: Just embarrass the USA Live on TV for the whole world to see. What are we Bangladesh?

4. The country is bankrupt and our dollar is worthless. Our government is actually buying our largest corporations with freshly printed money, so the country does not go bankrupt. Strange I only thought third world country's did that. Bush's policy of letting corporations (rob the country blind) police themselves is "the ultimate capitalistic fantasy," but is so ironical because now we are the second biggest socialistic country in the world! In 8 years china has become capitalists and we have become socialists.

Comrades I can go on all night, but one last word. How could anybody, even Obama, be worse than George Bush.

#4 does not go on this Admin, IMO. The Dems pushed long and hard for mortgages for people that could not afford them and it started in 1999.

Barney "Hide the" Frank and Chris Dodd have both been on the finance committee for many years and both objected fiercely when audits of Fannie and Freddie were suggested. They swore up and down, along with Maxine Waters, that both corporations were on the up and up and in no danger of failing.

If these 3 get reelected, then the country is even dumber than anyone imagined.

Desert Bull:

The Fannie and Freddie Bail out was a different trillion then the 750 billion bailout drafted by Paulson. It was an Executive branch proposal that the dems agreed to, but it was Bush's administration that originated the plan. I blame the Dems for their part, but it was Republican plan that is very Un- Republican and the guy in the White house had to sign it.

Ruff Country: All I am saying is Obama could not be worse then George Bush not that we should elect him, but the writing is on the wall. Obama will win and it will be George Bush's fault. Hopefully the good that will come from this is that people will get angry and take our once great country back from these thieves in the Republican and Democratic party. It is time for a viable third party that represents the real people and not the oligarchy that really runs this country. The battle between Red and Blue states is just some made up media B.S. to divide and conquer the country by the power elites. The real battle should be between people that want a real democracy based on our constitution and those moneyed elitist that are in power, who want to keep the status quo.

Fannie and Freddie failing was the first domino to fall. And that's one of the reasons that I'm not voting for either one of these dufuses as they were BOTH 100% behind all of the bailouts. Now, Bush says that the US will start investing directly in banks (ownership) and Obama came right out and said he supported that idea. Of coarse he supports it, it about the most socialist / Marxist thing a Gov't can do.

Comrade,

You understand the situation. I saw a headline that said, " Paulson will invest Federal dollars in Thousands of Banks." How long will it be before it is just one bank? I cannot believe we are in America.

What I can't figure out is why are all these ex controllers of these failed banks and financial organizations are still in positions of power- controlling billions of tax dollars- They made millions of dollars from their failed banks and companies- why do they get to keep all that money while the investors of their failed companies lost their butt-ets- They need to be investigated They are working in the Bush administration and for the obama election campaigns- obama wants to clean up poiitics, but its just old fashioned Chicago sewer politics- that'll be real change- The state of illinois is in chaos because of liberal democrat policies- this is where America is headed if obama is allowed to put his policies in place. God help us all!

I am originally from Ill. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt, the Gov of that state is like a 3rd world puppet leader. The Alderman of Chicago, particularly the 1st Ward, controll the entire state, including the Govenor. Nothing gets done without their approval. No one gets appointed to positions of power, no one gets a Gov't contract, etc. It's been that way since before Al Capone was selling rum out of the trunk of his car during prohibition.

The city of Chicago has the highest total sales tax of all major U.S. cities.[35] It is also one of the most complex. 10.25% is levied on all non-perishable goods purchased, while 2% is levied on grocery items, drugs, and medical appliances.[35] There is an additional 1% tax, the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA) "Food and Beverage Tax", on food and beverage purchases in the downtown area (These "downtown" boundaries are: Surf Street on the north, Ashland Avenue on the west, Stevenson Expressway (I-55) on the south, & Lake Michigan on the east. Furthermore, O'Hare and Midway airports also fall under the 1% MPEA tax district).[36] Car rentals in the city are taxed at 20%. Hotel rooms are taxed at 15.4%. Soft drinks (packs, cases, or individual bottles) are taxed at 13.25%.

In October 2007, a 10 cent per-bottle tax was proposed for bottled water as a potential source of additional revenue to help balance government budget deficits. The proposal was recently reduced to only a 5 cent per-bottle tax. Also, new alcohol tax increases in Chicago are being debated, such as a 7 cent tax increase on six-pack of beer, a 6 cent increase on a bottle of wine depending on alcohol content, and 22 cents on a liter of spirits.
