Hi all, native Arizonan here. Does anyone have pics of the lodge on top of the whetstones?  Me and brother found it way back. Really cool and has a spring fed well from what I could tell. Appreciate any pics or info.

Are you maybe talking about the old boy scout cabin? It has a small well behind it.

That is actually not what I remember. What we saw had a roof and intact walls in 1990-92.  There was a table in the front room and bunks in the sleeping room.  There were carvings on all the wood walls.  I will keep looking and post what I find ya'll.

The boy scout cabin has a roof, walls, table and bunks in it too. What a coincidence.

This is the Buddha cabin up there . It has a abandoned garden and apple trees.

We came up a road from the west side out of the Cienaga ranch.  Takes you right to it on top.

You’ve got to be thinking about the little cabin up in Apache canyon if you drove to it east of Empire Ranch. You had me thrown when you said it was at the top. No roads or structures up top that I know of

The top pic in roofer Billy’s post is a cabin that was built about 120 years ago by a family that homesteaded that area. The Feds recently kicked out a squatter that was a Buddhist who lived in it for quite a while. We called him ol blue. But this place is definitely not near the upper reaches, it’s in the bottom of Wakefield canyon
