When we move we are trying to stay at least an hour away from Memphis. We've driven thru McKenzie, Huntingdon, Dover, Paris, Waverly, etc. Wife has to have great internet wherever we move to. Did you go to UT- Martin or Austin Peay? Or? I also like Murray KY, it's a college town that has most things. Undergrad at UT-Martin and grew up hunting family farm nearby so that was nice. Grad school at UT-Memphis. I haven’t been through Murray in years but it was a nice place years ago. I’ve been through all those towns over the years…all have their pluses and minuses. Coues247 Report post Posted yesterday at 04:13 AM Just throwing it out there that when a non resident applies with a resident (in this case your son is treated as a resident for cap purposes) it does NOT suck the resident into the non resident cap. There simply must be enough tags to give to both. If there is one non res tag available as well as a resident tag available when their app is pulled it will give them tags. Same thing with a non resident with a lifetime license applying with a non res without a lifetime license. The lifetime license guys is treated as a resident for cap purposes but pays non resident prices for the tag if drawn. The only thing that combines in either scenario is their bonus points averaging. Not that helps your odds much but figured I would clear up some confusion from prior posts.
bigorange Report post Posted yesterday at 10:02 PM Thanks for that explanation. Probably semantics, but the end result seems to basically be the same? If the app is pulled and the NR cap has been met (no NR tag available) then neither gets a tag…right?

Which isn't likely, but not impossible.
