PineCountryHunter Report post Posted Wednesday at 07:57 PM I am going to be up in Eagar this weekend doing a side job and am going to bring up some fishing gear and plan to hit sunrise and Horseshoe from shore in the afternoons after we are done working. Just curious how the fishing is and if anyone is having any luck. I am sure i will be able to catch fish but hopefully the holdovers and browns will be biting. Hopefully land a few nice browns to get some pictures of and release. My Buddy and I plan to hit Reservation at the end of April for 4-5 days if it is open. Lack of moisture this year has me a little concerned it will be closed again this spring.
ctafoya Report post Posted Wednesday at 09:33 PM Last time I went to reservation they closed it but were still selling permits. We found out when we got to the lake. Said it was due to fire danger as it was snowing.

stanley Report post Posted Wednesday at 09:43 PM Good luck at Sunrise & Horseshoe! Let us know how you do! As for the other lakes..... Some buddies and I try to do an annual Christmas Tree lake trip in May/June each year. Just got word that it will be closed again this summer. Heads-up to anyone hoping to fish Christmas Tree. PineCountryHunter Report post Posted Thursday at 07:57 PM Ya not been a good year for moisture and going to cause big issues with fire danger and lake levels. Hopefully we get a really good monsoon up there this year or Sunrise is in serious trouble.
